Christmas on Exeter Street
Published in Paperback by Walker Books (04 November, 2002)
Authors: Diana Hendry and John Lawrence
Average review score:

Christmas on Exeter Street
In this wonderful children's book, the house on Exeter Street goes from crowded to overflowing as more guests, both expected and unexpected, arrive on Christmas Eve. Grandparents, uncles from South Africa, stranded travelers and the children from next door keep showing up until people, dogs and cats are sleeping in the attic, in the basement, in the cupboards, on window sills and even in the bathtub! Santa, when he arrives, has to take off his socks and count on his toes to be sure he's remembered everyone. The illustrations are detailed and charming, and the story telling is simple but moving. In my family, this book is a favorite and gets read daily during the Christmas season. The whimsy and warmth appeal to children and grown-ups alike. Unfortunately, this book is out of print, so if you find it, grab it!

Forecasting Economic Time Series
Published in Hardcover by Cambridge University Press (December, 1998)
Authors: Michael Clements and David Hendry
Average review score:

Good strategies for macro economic forecasting
This is a unique text that treats economic time series forecasting with emphasis on the recent advances in econometric theory such as cointegration as well as other practical strategies such as combination forecasts. Usual text books do not have the breadth of coverage this one attempts, successfully, to achieve. In short, this one text replaces many books and papers on one's shelf.

Kid tested, kid approved!
I love Joan Irvine's books. I am an art teacher and I use it in my classroom from middle school on up! The kids like it and find the instructions easy to follow. Everyone can be successful and creative. They find they don't think they know how to do it until they've tried. Joan gets them started and then the kids take off from there!

Average review score:

More advanced pop-up card ideas-still easy to do
This is the second book on the same subject. This one teaches you more ideas for pop-up cards. Also shows you how you can make GIANT pop-ups that can be used for playing in and around-sort of a scene for kids to build around. Again written for children but a good book for beginners in making pop-ups.

Jocelyn and the Ballerina
Published in Paperback by Fitzhenry & Whiteside Ltd (May, 2003)
Authors: Nancy Hartry and Linda Hendry
Average review score:

A delightful story
Jocelyn loves her ballerina outfit. When she is wearing it she can twirl and dance up to the sky! It hugs her legs and keeps her warm. But Jocelyn's mother will not let Jocelyn wear her ballerina when she is the flower girl at Aunt Judy's wedding. And her new pink lace dress is scratchy and doesn't twirl at all! Jocelyn solves her problem in a hilarious manner that will have young readers ages 4 to 8 laughing out loud. Nancy Hartry's delightful story is enhanced with Linda Hendry's warm, pastel illustrations and a step-by-step guide to creating a floral bouquet just like Jocelyn's.

Priscilla and Rosy
Published in Hardcover by Fitzhenry & Whiteside Ltd (August, 2001)
Authors: Sharon Jennings and Linda Hendry
Average review score:

The picturebook story of two rodent best friends
Superbly illustrated with the full color artwork of Linda Hendry, Sharon Jennings' Priscilla And Rosy is the picturebook story of two rodent best friends. But when Priscilla wants to go on a boat trip rather than spend her day off with Rosy like she promised, she considers telling a little fib to get out of being with her friend. The "white lie" seems harmless... so why does Priscilla feel so ratty? Priscilla And Rosy is a gentle yet thoughtful story for young readers about the importance of honesty and the value of true friendship.
